Element Finish 'All Good Children' & 'Essence of Killing'

Dare2BDrinkAware Finalists Announced
Ten projects have been shortlisted in the Digital Hub's Dare2BDrinkAware 2010 digital filmmaking competition. Participating teams were challenged to creatively explore the relationship between Irish culture and drinking through considering the values, attitudes and behaviours that young adults have in relation to alcohol. more

Michael Fassbender Discovers 'A Dangerous Method'
Irish actor Michael Fassbender is set to star in David Cronenberg's new feature 'A Dangerous Method' in May. The film explores the relationship between Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud and also stars Viggo Mortensen, Keira Knightley and Vincent Cassel. more
MTV Shops for 'Paisean Faisean'
The format of Magma Film's reality TV series 'Paisean Faisean' has been bought US production outfit by Zoo Productions who have been commissioned by MTV to produce a version of the show entitled 'Style Date'.more
Conor McPherson Joins Aosdána
Aosdána, the affiliation of creative artists in Ireland welcomed seven new members yesterday, including writer/director Conor McPherson. The move brings to 236 the total number of Aosdána members.more
New Irish Doc Investigates 'Churchill's Secret Son..?'
Independent production company Marbella Productions are currently finishing work on 'Brendan Bracken - Churchill's Secret Son..?' The history documentary co-produced by RTÉ examines the life of Irish man Brendan Bracken, Winston Churchill's right hand man and explores the possibility of a biological connection between the two men. more
Box Office Doubles at Dingle Festival 2010
Dingle Film Festival director Maurice Galway has deemed the 4th Dingle Film Festival a major success following its March run. This year's event, which saw actor Cillian Murphy, director Stephen Frears and producer Ned Dowd on its guest list, was held in March as opposed to its usual September slot resulting in a doubling of box office takings since last year.more
