The winners of the 7th Annual Irish Film & Television Awards have been announced at a gala ceremony held in Dublin's Burlington Hotel on 20th of February 2010. Conor McPherson's 'The Eclipse' was named Best Film. more
€25.5m BAI Funding Package Unveiled
The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) has announced that it is to make funding of up to €25.5m available for the production of new television and radio programmes over the next two years through Sound & Vision II - a Broadcasting Funding Scheme. more
Richard Baneham Wins BAFTA
Irish man Richard Baneham and his team walked away from the 2010 BAFTA ceremony with the prize for best Special Visual Effects for their work on James Cameron's 'Avatar'. The awards were held in London on Sunday, February 21st. more

Last Chance to Catch JDIFF Delights
Sunday, February 28th marks the final day of the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival. The seventh JDIFF launched Thursday, 18 Feb, saw the return of strands such as Irish talent spotlight, Special Screenings & Presentations and a Real to Reel documentary section. 22nd Galway Film Fleadh Calls for Submissions
The organisers of the 2010 Galway Film Fleadh are currently inviting Feature Film applications for the 22nd edition of the festival, which will run from the 6 - 11 July. Filmmakers and producers can enter their projects into several categories including Best First Feature, Best Feature Documentary and Best Irish Feature. more
