Victoria Smurfit to Host 2010 IFTA Ceremony
It has been announced that Irish actress Victoria Smurfit will host the 7th Annual Irish Film and Television Awards. The actress will follow in the footsteps of former hosts such as actor James Nesbitt and broadcaster Ryan Tubridy when she fronts the event which will broadcast live from Dublin's Burlington Hotel on February 20th on RTÉ1. more
Animation Chiefs Call for Increase in RTÉ Funding
The Animation CEO Forum, an Animation Ireland body that brings together CEOs from the leading Irish animation companies to discuss industry issues, has criticised Irish public broadcaster RTÉ saying they are failing to support, develop and fund the Animation sector in Ireland. more
'Aisling's Diary' Scoops Kidscreen Award
CR Entertainment Ltd has won the award for Best One-Off, Special or TV Movie in the Teen/Tween Category for 'Aisling's Diary' at the Kidscreen Awards held in New York last night. The show tells the story of Aisling, an Irish-American teen who has just moved from Boston to Dublin, with her family. more
Liam Neeson Takes On 'Unknown White Male'
Principal photography is currently underway on the thriller 'Unknown White Male' with Irish g Irish actor Liam Neeson starring. The film co-stars another IFTA nominated Irish actor Aidan Quinn, with Diane Kruger, January Jones, Aidan Quinn, Bruno Ganz and Frank Langella. more
