AV Review Determines Film & TV Sector an Irish "Success Story"
The Audiovisual Federation, the IBEC group that represents the feature film, television and animation sectors, has launched its 2009 review of film and television production in Ireland. In 2008, 266 audiovisual productions were completed in Ireland. more

Cameras Roll on Set of 'My Brothers'
Production is underway on the new Irish feature film 'My Brothers', directed by Paul Fraser (Scummy Man) and written by William Collins (Escape of the Wild Thing). Set over the Halloween weekend of 1987, the film explores three young brothers' quest to replace their dying father's beloved watch. more
RTÉ's 'The Clinic' Closes Its Doors
RTÉ Television has confirmed that it will not be re-commissioning 'The Clinic' for next year. The medical drama which first hit screens in 2003 has been running for seven years. more

New RTÉ Series Casts 'Savage Eye' on Irish Culture
Irish comedian David McSavage's new project, 'The Savage Eye', begins a six-part run on Monday, November 23rd. The series aims to be a satirical and surreal examination of subjects close to the hearts of the Irish people such as the arts, property, sex and religion. The first episode will ask the question 'Why are the Irish so influential in the world of Arts?' more

Juanita Wilson has won the Best Director prize for 'The Door' and Connor Clements has won in the Scriptwriting category for his film 'James' at the 2009 Grand OFF, World OFF Awards that were held last weekend in Warsaw. more

'Hotel Darklight' - DIY Filmmaking Project to Screen
'Hotel Darklight' is to receive an IFI screening on December 13th. The feature film is the result of a DIY project that ran as part of this year's Darklight Festival where filmmakers were asked to submit ideas for a 3 - 7 minute short film set in a mysterious Dublin hotel with a twilight zone-esque atmosphere. more
