Shooting to Commence on 'The Tudors'
Shooting is scheduled to begin in Dublin on Monday, 15 June, on the fourth and final series of 'The Tudors'. Morgan O'Sullivan returns as executive producer, with Dearbhla Walsh (Little Dorrit), IFTA winner Ciaran Donnelly and Jeremy Podewsa (Fugitive Pieces) directing. more

TG4's 'Ar Ancaire' Commences Filming
Filming has begun in Connemara, Galway, on 'Ar Ancaire', a 25 minute documentary being shot as part of TG4's Cogar 2009 series. The documentary will focus on singer John Beag O Flatharta's journey back to the recording studio for the first time in 15 years. more

RTE Television's Summer Highlights
RTE will deliver five new factual series, as well as two new documentaries and three new editions of returning factual series. 'The Big Story' is a brand-new six-part series for RTE One featuring Irish journalists discussing some of the major stories of their careers, while the new six-part observational documentary series 'The Enforcers' will follow the day-to-day activities of our health and environment officers. more

'Occupation', a new three part drama serial begins on BBC One Tuesday 9th of June. Shot on location in Northern Ireland and Iraq in 2008, the drama stars NI actor James Nesbitt (Five Minutes of Heaven, Bloody Sunday), Stephen Graham (The Damned United, This is England) and Warren Brown (Hollyoaks, Shameless). more
Human Rights Film School Competition
The Lighthouse Cinema, Dublin, will hold hold the final of the ICCL (Irish Council for Civil Liberties), Human Rights Film School Competition on Thursday 11 June. Both amateur and professional Irish filmmakers, directors, producers, and scriptwriters make short films on a human rights issue in an effort to raise awareness. more
