Galway Fleadh Pitching Award Deadline Approaches
The rules for entry are simple. Applicants write and submit a 500-word story idea for screen; all received applications are read by a panel selected from the Irish film industry - and the best five are shortlisted. The five writers are contacted and invited to present their pitch to a panel of judges. more

RTE Staff to Face Ballot Over Proposed Pay Cuts
320 staff at RTE are being balloted this week on pay cuts of up to 12.5%. Of the total required savings, E10m comes from personnel-related costs despite these costs representing an average of 50% of RTE's overall costs. more
