Mo Mowlam Drama Begins NI Shoot
Oscar nominated actress Julie Walters (Billy Elliot, Educating Rita) stars as former Northern Ireland secretary Mo Mowlam in a new single drama 'Mo' for transmission on Channel 4 in 2010. Filming begins in Northern Ireland this month. more

Grand Pictures has announced details of a new 6 x half hour comedy series 'Val Falvey, T.D.' Written by Arthur Mathews (Father Ted) and Paul Woodfull (Stew) and directed by PJ Dillon (Stew), the series stars Ardal O'Hanlon (Father Ted) and Owen Roe (Alarm). more
'Traffic Blues' for Big Mountain
'Traffic Blues', a new six part fly on the wall series following the Garda Traffic Corps, begins Sunday 31 May at 8.30pm on RTE One. Produced by Big Mountain Productions, the series aims to show just how dangerous and badly behaved we really are on our roads. more
BCI Contract for Cork Community TV
The BCI has signed a ten year broadcasting contract with Cork Community Television Limited (CCTv) which will provide a community television service for Cork City and environs. CCTv begins broadcasting today (Thurs 28 May) on Channel 803 of UPC's digital cable package. more
