Section 481 Cap Increases to €50 million
Amendments to the Irish film taxation, Section 481, have been approved following the signing of a Commencement Order by Irish Minister for Finance Brian Lenihan. The amendments are to increase the cap per project to €50 million (from €35 million). more
TV3 Announce Staff Redundancies & Pay Cuts
Irish broadcaster TV3 has announced “cost cutting measures” aiming to reduce annual costs of the independent station by €2m including redundancies, pay cuts and reduced contractors' fees. more
'Na Cloigne' Heads Into Production
'Na Cloigne' (The Heads), a new three part Irish language drama for TG4, directed by Robert Quinn (Cre na Cille) and produced by Ciaran O Cofaigh at Galway based production company ROSG, will commence filming this Monday 30th March until 8th May in various locations around Conamara. more

Filming Wraps in NI on 'Small Island'
Filming will wrap this week on 'Small Island', a new 2 x 90-minute drama produced by Ruby Films for the BBC which has been shooting in Northern Ireland since mid February. The production will move to Jamaica at the end of this week. more

Doc Series 'Mna na Mara' Airs on TG4
Doc series Mna na Mara (Women of the Sea), produced by Open Eye Television in Baile Bhúirne, Co. Cork, began airing last Friday on TG4 and will run for five more weeks until April 24th.more
