RTE Faces €68m Deficit for 2009
RTE's director General Cathal Goan has stated that the broadcaster is facing a €68 million shortfall or 15% loss in the total amount of revenue for 2009 which is to result in staff cost cutting measures. more

Flickerpix Does Comic Relief 2009
NI Animation studio Flickerpix is behind a short animated appeal film to air as part of Comic Relief 2009 on Friday 13th March on BBC 1 at 9pm. The short animation focuses on the killer disease of malaria and is devised from a script by writer and director Richard Curtis whose credits include 'Four Weddings and a Funeral,' and 'Love Actually'.more

IFB Short Shorts Deadline Announced
The Irish Film Board have announced the call for submissions for the next round of the Short Shorts scheme with a new deadline of Friday, May 8th, 2009. Successful short films will premiere at the Cork Film Festival in November. more
