EACEA Funding Webinars for MEDIA Calls
The EACEA will host a series of free funding webinars on the new MEDIA calls over the coming months. You can find the links to all the EACEA webinars here. There’s no need for advance registration. Creative Europe Desk Ireland MEDIA will also host in-depth funding webinars on Slate Funding and other MEDIA funding calls from mid-November. Dates to be confirmed soon.

- European Co-development, Tuesday 16th January, 1pm - 3.30pm Irish time.
8 Projects Selected for Documentary: A European Perspective, Galway
The following 8 projects have been selected to pitch to a panel of European Commissioning Editors next Thursday, 2nd November at our Documentary - A European Perspective event.

- Speed of Life Films - Gloria & Marc: The Untold Love Story
- Akajava Films - One Inch Eastward
- Floodland Pictures - Come in from the Cold
- Push Pull Media Collective - Trouble in Utopia
- Scannáin Inbhear - The Battle for Peace
The pitching session will be preceded by a Panel where European Commissioning Editors present their Documentary slots and discuss their editorial strategies.
The participating Commissioning Editors and Experts are: Henna Khan-Hussain, BBC Storyville, Charlotte Madsen, SVT, Sweden, Thorge Thomsen, ARTE GEIE, France, Iwan England – S4C, Wales, Proinsias Ní Ghráinne, TG4, Grainne McAleer, RTÉ and Adam Gee - Creative Artists Agency.

Cork International Film Festival Receives MEDIA Support for 2023-2024
Creative Europe MEDIA has confirmed that it will continue to support Cork International Film Festival, which runs from the 9th to 26th November this year. Creative Europe Desk Ireland will host Doc Day Networking after the Doc Day Live on Friday 24th November in The Imperial Hotel, 76 South Mall.
Doc Day is on Friday 16th November in the Republic of Work Tickets cost €30 – book here. VENOM FILMS, who received MEDIA Slate Funding in 2021, will feature as a Case Study during Doc Day Live. CIFF will feature the World premiere of So This Is Christmas from award-winning filmmaker Ken Wardrop of Venom Films, which is supported by MEDIA funding.
