This is a practical, production-focused course providing an in-depth education in the production of documentary, drama, and entertainment formats.
Students will learn about producing, researching, writing, directing, capturing media, editing and delivering content for both location and studio-based productions. The course is designed to ensure new entrants have the skills and knowledge to work in pre-production, production and post-production.

Requirements
- Participants must reach 18 years of age before the end of the Traineeship. Applicants who are under 18 years of age require a Garda Parent/Guardian Consent Form signed by their parent or guardian
- Leaving certificate standard of education of equivalent
- A good verbal and written command of the English language
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to people at different levels
- Demonstrate a positive outlook, be adaptable, and have the ability to work on your own initiative, to take direction and to work with others as part of a team
- Computer skills are essential
- Knowledge of the Irish media industry and sectors within
- Driving licence is an advantage
