Windmill Lane are looking for experienced Lighting Artists to join our Dublin based VFX team working on a variety of film and TV projects over the next year.

We take great pride in the work we do and like to run small tightly knit teams where everybody’s input is valued. Our projects vary and we’d like to expose our artists to as many challenges as possible so that they can develop as creatives and hone their skills. We encourage a nurturing knowledge sharing environment and love to see artists excel.

Recent projects include Avenue 5 (HBO), Wendell & Wild (Netflix), A Discovery of Witches (Sky), Kin (AMC), Sex Education (Netflix), Landscapers (HBO) and we’ve got more excitement on the way!

The Lighting Artist is responsible for the lighting and rendering of CG characters, objects, and environments in live-action or full CG episodes, feature films, music videos and commercials. Teamwork and collaboration are key as this role interacts with a variety of departments, including VFX Supervisors and Production, working closely with one another to accomplish all tasks so a high degree of technical skill and artistic judgement is required.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Lighting / look development for integration of CG elements in live action shots
• Lighting / look development for full CG shots
• Interface with other departments to help bring assets and shots to completion
• Optimize your render set-ups for efficient render farm usage and to improve the quality of results
• Ability to create lighting setups to be used by other artists

We’d love to hear from talented Irish based or remote artists, but preference will be given to candidates who already live in or are willing to relocate to Ireland and you must be EEA work eligible to be considered for this role.
