JOB TITLE: Distribution Reporting Accountant
REPORTS TO: Snr Financial Accountant

Key Responsibilities
THIRD PARTY REPORTING:
- Preparing distribution reports, to include sales, profit participation and royalty reporting
- Responsibility for any payments to third-party stakeholders;
- Prepare residual reports for funding agencies and guilds;
- Maintain relationships with third-party stakeholders and act as a first point of contact;
- Prepare 3rd party royalty forecasts based on client request;
INTERNAL REPORTING:
- Liaise with parent company to prepare quarterly and annual distribution reporting;
- Liaise and work closely with internal departments to determine contractual obligations and sales forecasts;
- Tracking distribution advance funding commitments paid/payable due to third party and related party companies;
- Tracking the recoupment/recovery of distribution advances paid and reporting on status;
- Provide monthly reports internally, for the preparation of monthly management reporting;
SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT:
- Develop system to track outgoing producer reporting obligations to ensure reports are completed and submitted by contracted deadlines;
- Work with the Finance team to continuously develop the accounting system and the distribution reporting function;
AD HOC:
- Audit assistance and other special projects as required by finance management;
- Performing or assisting with such other duties as required across group companies;
Key Requirements
- A recognised Accounting Qualification with 1+ years of post-qualification experience
- Ability to analyse financial data, prepare financial reports and projections
- The ability to engage with all levels in the organisation will be important supported with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have excellent judgment and exacting professional standards, with a diligent work ethic and a keen eye for detail
- Prior experience working with a mid-tier accounting system would be a strong advantage
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with an emphasis on systems development
- Confident self-starter, with ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Experience of working in Film/TV production/Creative environment would be an advantage but not mandatory
