Moose are seeking to hire a video editor to join the team at our Galway office. In this role you will work on a diverse range of productions from commercial projects through to broadcast documentaries. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience and will be responsible for the delivery of video assets for a host of various clients. 

We are looking for a Video editor who is ambitious, technically versed and capable of turning around content in a fast paced environment. You should bring a high technical understanding of delivery formats and understand that attention to detail is a must.

You will be responsible for assembling recorded film and video footage, applying artistic editing techniques and creating finished, broadcast-worthy projects that accurately reflect the vision of the production director.
To ensure success as a video editor, you should have expert knowledge of modern video editing techniques, be able to visualise directorial concepts and work according to a strict time schedule.

Key Elements of the Role:

  • Media Management & server maintenance (Ingest / backup / LTO archive)
  • Selects of dailies, rushes and source material
  • Edit high-energy online videos to brief, to cover the extent of assembly
  • to final completion and delivery.
  • Offline edit broadcast TV-documentaries series and VTs ( 1 - 2 per year)
  • Contribute creatively to the look, feel and style of client projects.
  • Implement feedback on behalf of clients.
  • Report to production team on post-production pipeline.
  • Oversee delivery of offline edits to online post houses as required.
  • Ensure edit suite and post production facilities are kept up to date and in order.

This describes you:

  • Highly organised; attention to detail is your thing
  • Technical: Have an in depth knowledge of the video editing programs: Adobe premiere pro, Adobe after effects.
  • Creative: Can bring an added layer of creativity to existing projects.
  • Up to date: An understanding of current trends in the social media and broadcast industries.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum/demonstrated three years’ experience within a production or media outlet.
  • Third-level qualification in TV, film, media production or related area desired.
  • Full driver’s licence, while not essential, is preferred.

Salary commensurate with experience.
