Ear to the Ground ( RTE 1 Tuesday 8.30 ) is returning for its eighteenth series at the end of October. This high profile farming and rural affairs series has an immediate vacancy for an experienced programme researcher.

The successful candidate will join an experienced team of producers and presenters to produce three compelling stories each week.

The primary requirements of the job are:

• a highly motivated self starter operating to hard production deadlines

• a good knowledge of farming and rural affairs issues essential

• experience and contacts to enable quick access to rural stories and contributors

• passionate about story telling and able to accurately assess the capacity of potential contributors

• TV research experience, a bonus but not essential.
