Drama fans can soon look forward to ‘Striking Out’ the new RTÉ four-part drama which follows the tumultuous professional and personal life of Dublin-based solicitor, Tara Rafferty (Amy Huberman), and her fledgling legal firm.
When Tara discovers, on her hen night, that her fiancé and fellow solicitor Eric Dunbar (Rory Keenan) has been cheating on her with a colleague, she breaks up with him, quits her job at the prestigious law firm they worked at together, and sets about making her own way in a new life outside the inner circle of the legal profession.
Also cast to star in this new legal series are actors, Rory Keenan, Neil Morrissey, Fiona O’Shaughnessy and Emmet Byrne.
Acorn Media Enterprises will act as the North American co-producing partner on the series, with the US debut set for Acorn TV next year.
The drama, originally called ‘Cheaters’, has been created by James Phelan and is directed by Lisa James Larsson. It is produced for RTÉ by Katie Holly and Yvonne Donohoe of Blinder Films (‘Moscow Never Sleeps’, Love & Friendship’).
‘Striking Out’ was noted as a highlight for RTÉ’s Autumn launch and they have released the first promo teaser video for this series which will premiere on RTÉ One early next year.
