TG4 will host an information day for producers and content suppliers on June 30 to explain changes planned for TG4’s programme schedule from Autumn 2016 onwards and the impact it will have on the next commissioning round.
Structural and editorial changes planned for TG4’s programme schedule from Autumn 2016 onwards will impact on the programme requirements of the next commissioning round which will be advertised in early summer 2015 with a closing date of 1st October 2015.
Details of these new changes and the programme schedule ambitions that underpin them will be outlined to producers and content suppliers at an information day on Tuesday 30th June in the Robert Emmet Theatre in Trinity College.
At this session, TG4’s commissioning team will explain the detail of the new commissioning round. Representatives from the channel’s Scheduling team as well as from the Marketing and Audience research teams will also present the background to these changes and the rationale behind them.
The two main external funders of TG4 content who work closely with the channel - the BAI - Sound and Vision and Northern Ireland Irish Language Broadcast Fund (ILBF) - will also attend and make short presentations.
The Guidelines for the new TV content aspects of the revised Section 481 investment and support schemes will also be outlined at the session.
