Leo Doyle, mid-thirties and single, is released into ceasefire Belfast after serving a life sentence for an IRA murder. But the hero's welcome he expected wears thin when he finds the struggle has no further use for him. Desperate for a cause, Leo tries to rekindle an affair with his former fiancee Roisin, throwing his family into emotional chaos.
