In 2012 Susan Talbot and Steven Flynn returned to Ireland after ten years living in the U.S. Both worked in Film and Television and decided to combine their passion for filmmaking with Steve’s love of flying to begin Aerial Filming Ireland and AFIstock.com. With the initial acquisition of the Freefly Cinestar 8 drone, they upgraded to the Heavy Lift in 2013 adding the MOVI MR in the air for superior stabilisation and the MOVI M10 on the ground. The fluidity of the M10 footage on the ground cuts brilliantly with the MR footage in the air and in some cases can look like very close, precision flying! In 2014 they began work on AFIstock.com, which allows smaller productions to access cost effective aerial clips and editors to quickly get the one shot that will ‘make the scene work’.
