John D'Ardis - Founder and Chairman

John D'Ardis is a veteran of the Media and Entertainment industry in Ireland. He started his career as a recording engineer with Eamonn Andrews Studio in the 1960's and shortly afterward founded the ground breaking Trend Studios in 1968 (for a full history click here). He graduated from UCD with a B.Comm and has steered the company course for over 30 years transforming it from a small recording studios to become the principal supplier of all formats of pre-recorded media in Ireland. A seasoned entrepreneur with a track record of adapting and innovating to anticipate market demand in the ever changing media industry, John was also involved in the setting up of IMRO which succeeded the PRS as the broadcast music rights collection organization in Ireland. In recent years he has established a successful commercial property development business.
