RTE Entertainment is seeking proposals from suitably qualified production companies to deliver a series bringing their audience all the highlights from the Fleadh Cheoil 2018.
The Fleadh is a key event in the traditional music calendar. Featuring indoor and outdoor music and singing sessions, organized competitions, concerts and teaching classes The Fleadh is one of the biggest music festivals in the world. The Fleadh happens this year in Drogheda from 12th to 19th August. Producers will have to illustrate how they intend to capture and record a multilayered event that has many formal elements as well as impromptu sessions. Proven ability to work collaboratively with event stakeholders will be important and knowledge of the traditional music scene will be advantageous.

Key determinants behind the successful company will be track record, traditional music expertise attached to the proposal, nimble production model, and previous experience working with event organizers. This pre recorded series will play pre watershed. The series will be presented both in Irish and in English.
