The film is based on an original screenplay by Colin Bateman. Hamm and Bateman previously worked together on the IFTA winning 'The Journey' as director and scriptwriter.

"Venice is an inspiring festival with an incredible audience. I am both honored and delighted to be invited back to share this crazy untold story," Hamm said in the statement about 'Driven'. He was previously in Venice with 'The Journey' in 2016.
'Driven' is financed by Romulus Entertainment, and produced by Brad Feinstein of Romulus, Piers Tempest of Tempo Productions and Luillo Ruiz of The Pimienta Film Company. The film stars Lee Pace (The Hobbit) as DeLorean, Jason Sudeikis (Downsizing) plays Hoffman, Judy Grear (Ant-Man) plays Hoffman's wife Ellen, and Corey Stoll (House of Cards) plays FBI agent Benedict Tissa. The film is inspired by the true story of the FBI sting operation to bring down maverick auto executive DeLorean.
'Driven' screens in Venice on September 8th.
