 Stephen Burke to Begin 'Happy Ever Afters'
Production is set to begin on Stephen Burke’s debut feature film ‘Happy Ever Afters’ in Bray and Wicklow next week. Brit actors Sally Hawkins (Happy Go Lucky) and Tom Riley (I Want Candy) lead the cast with Irish talent Eamonn Hunt, Simon Delaney and Tina Kellegher among the supporting roles. more

The 2008 Galway Film Fleadh, in association with FAS Screen Training Ireland, is set to host several Masterclasses over the six day fest, with Oscar-winning actress Jessica Lange (Tootsie), Oscar-winning director Alex Gibney (Enron) and screenwriter Martin Daniel lined up to tutor. more
BBC NI ‘Occupation’ Set for Northern Irish Shoot
Kudos Film and TV’s new three part drama ‘Occupation’, directed by Nick Murphy (Napoleon, Primeval), is set to begin filming on location in Northern Ireland this September. Commissioned by BBC Northern Ireland, the series traces the lives of three British soldiers from the invasion of Basra in March 2003 to the present. more
RTÉ Looks Back at ‘History of Irish Comedy’

Irish actor Gabriel Byrne (Vanity Fair, Jindabyne) has been named in the Top Ten shortlist for a Best Drama Actor Emmy for his role as a psychotherapist in the HBO drama ‘In Treatment’. more
Breathnach’s ‘Freakdog’ Unleashed at Fright Fest
Paddy Breathnach’s Northern Irish shot horror ‘Freakdog’ will receive it’s World Premiere screening at the Film4 Fright Fest (21 – 25 August) taking place in London. Damien McCarthy’s short film ‘He Dies at the End’ will also screen. more
