IFTA Tribute for Peter O’Toole at Galway Film Fleadh |

The Galway Film Fleadh, in association with the Irish Film & Television Academy (IFTA), will pay tribute to screen legend Peter O’Toole during the 2008 festival which takes place from the 8 – 13 July. O’Toole, whose career spans five decades, will be the focus of a special Public Interview and screen retrospective at the prestigious Irish festival.

IFTA and Golden Globe winning actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers has won the Golden Nymph for Best Actor in a Drama Series at the 48th Monte-Carlo TV Festival (8 – 12 June 2008). The Cork born actor scooped the award for his portrayal of King Henry the VII in hit Showtime series ‘The Tudors’, filmed on location in Ireland. more |
