IFB Announce Q1 2017 Funding Decisions

The Irish Film Board has announced the successful applicants for development, production and distribution funding for the first quarter of this year, with a total of just over €4.2M allocated. The most significant sum of this round goes to writer/director Carmel Winters under the production loan category in the form of €600,000.

Production Coordinator Sinéad Barry is set to tutor the two-day course beginning Saturday May 13th 2017 in Troy Studios, Limerick, which is priced at €80. Screen Training Ireland are running the training initiative which is aimed at for trainees, assistant co-ordinators, PA's to creatives, or those seeking an entry level role in film production.

Call for Proposals: €30,000 Budget for Irish Famine Short Film Scheme

Ireland's Great Hunger Museum at Quinnipiac University is inviting short film submissions ranging from twelve to fifteen minutes in length on the topic of the Irish famine for young audiences, aged between ten and thirteen.
