IFTN caught up with Cubitt to talk about the IFTA-winning show which concludes its second season on Wednesday, December 17th on RTÉ One.

Primarily known as a key collaborator of director Lenny Abrahamson over the past decade, composer Stephen Rennicks has cemented his position as one of Ireland’s leading composers with three IFTA nominations and a filmography consisting of celebrated Irish films like ‘What Richard Did’, ‘Garage’, ‘Man About Dog’, and ‘Adam and Paul’.

Irish comedy ‘Moone Boy’ won Best Sitcom at the 2014 British Comedy Awards last night, while there were also awards for Irish performers Brendan O’ Carroll, Graham Norton, Aisling Bea - and for Arthur Matthews new show ‘Toast of London’.

Irish actors Saoirse Ronan (‘Brooklyn’, ‘Byzantium’) and Corey McKinley have both been nominated in the Young Performer of the Year category at the 35th London Critics’ Circle Film Awards.

Cork company TVM has won the Woman Led Business Award at the national final of the 2014 Ulster Bank Business Achievers Awards.

Irish film ‘You’re Ugly Too’ will have its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival in February. The film was selected as part of the Generation section.

Belfast-based Sixteen South has been nominated for a Broadcast Award for animation series ‘Lily’s Driftwood Bay’ whose cast includes stars Stephen Fry, Ardal O’Hanlon, Richard Dormer and Peter Mullan.
