After an intensive and competitive assessment process, the Irish Film Board has announced that nine teams have been shortlisted, to go through to the next interview stage of the Catalyst Project. The final goal will see the winning team receive funding and mentorship to produce a feature film.

Following the success of Irish releases such as 'Calvary', 'The Stag', 'Frank', 'Jimmy's Hall' and Universal's 'Mrs Brown's Boys D'Movie' this year, Irish audiences can also look forward to a wide choice of Irish stories on film hitting cinemas over the coming months.

The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) has announced that it will enter into negotiations for a television content provision contract, under Section 71 of the Broadcasting Act, with Teilifís Mhaigh Eo Teoranta.
