Apple TV+ have released the first trailer for Presumed Innocent, a limited series starring Ruth Negga, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Renate Reinsve.
Irish actor Ruth Negga (Good Grief) stars alongside Jake Gyllenhaal (Roadhouse) and Renate Reinsve (The Worst Person in the World) in the upcoming Apple TV+ limited series Presumed Innocent, based on the New York Times bestselling novel of the same name by Scott Turow.
Presumed Innocent is an eight-episode crime series about a prosecutor who becomes the prime suspect in the murder of one of his colleagues. Gyllenhaal plays prime suspect and chief deputy prosecutor Rusty Sabich, and Negga plays his wife, Barbara Sabich.
The eight-episode series was created by David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies), and is executive produced by Gyllenhaal and J.J. Abrams. Other cast members include Bill Camp (The Killing of a Sacred Deer), Elizabeth Marvel (True Grit), and Peter Sarsgaard (Shattered Glass).
Turow’s novel has previously been adapted into a 1990 film of the same name, starring Harrison Ford (Blade Runner) in the Gyllenhaal role and Bonnie Bedelia (Die Hard) in the Negga role.
David E. Kelly's series will release on Apple TV+ on June 12th, 2024.
