Sony Pictures have released the trailer for acclaimed filmmaker Kogonada's new film A Big Bold Beautiful Journey starring Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell.
The film is due for release in Ireland in September, and is described as “a romantic fantasy” and “the imaginative tale of two strangers”. The cast also includes Jodie Turner-Smith, Lily Rabe, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Hamish Linklater.
Kogonada's previous films are the award-winning Columbus starring Haley Lu Richardson and John Cho, and 2022's After Yang which also starred Farrell. A Big Bold Beautiful Journey is scripted by Seth Reiss (The Menu).
Executive producers include Ori Eisen, Gino Falsetto, Ilene Feldman, Kogonada and Paul Mezey. Dan Friedkin, Ryan Friedkin, Youree Henley, Reiss and Bradley Thomas serve as producers. Noah Simon is an associate producer.
Colin Farrell was most recently seen as the titular mobster in HBO's The Penguin which won him the IFTA Award for Lead Actor in a Drama. Next up on his slate is The Ballad of a Small Player opposite Tilda Swinton and Andrew Haigh (All of Us Strangers)'s Belly of the Beast opposite Ben Stiller.
