Irish production company Saffron Moon has announced Irish crime-drama series Hidden Assets will return for a third season and is in production until May 2025.
The third season of the Irish crime-drama series is currently in production. The series is filming in Dublin, Antwerp and Bilbao until May 2025. The Hidden Assets series stars Irish actors including IFTA nominee Nora-Jane Noone (Wildfire, Savage, The Descent), IFTA nominee Simone Kirby (Kneecap, Notes on Blindness, Jimmy’s Hall) and IFTA winner Angeline Ball (Bloom).
According to the synopsis: “What appears to be a simple case of an Irish fund manager defrauding his clients is soon linked to a series of connected murders in Bilbao. Dogged investigative work by DS Claire Wallace (Nora-Jane Noone) and the CAB team, their Spanish liaison Lore Velasquez, and the Basque detective Sebastian Ruiz, connects all these crimes to strange illnesses, until now unreported, in one of Bilbao’s most vulnerable groups. As they follow this thread, they realise this is only the tip of an iceberg, finding that even trusted charities are not immune to the reach of white collar crime.”
The series is directed by Kadir Ferati Balci and writers include Peter McKenna (IFTA winning series Kin), Susan Connolly, Mary Fox & Marty Thornton, Cara Loftus (IFTA nominated film Spilt Milk). Season 3 of Hidden Assets finds the CAB team relocated from Limerick to Dublin, and soon embroiled in an investigation which unfolds in parallel in the Basque region of Northern Spain and in Dublin.
Saffron Moon have also announced that Hidden Assets season 4 has commenced development, supported by Screen Ireland and RTÉ.
