Green Inc Going 'Live' and 'Daily' |

UTV Interim Revenue Up 9% |
31 Aug 2010 | UTV Media PLC has released its interim results for the first half of the year. The findings in the report see group revenue up by 9% to £59.2m (2009: £54.4m) and Pre-tax profits up by 17% to £9.4m (2009: £8.0m) It’s further reported that an improvement in the UK airtime market in the first quarter of 2010 was not matched in the Irish marketplace but the second quarter brought growth in both the UK and Ireland. |

Graham Norton Lands BBCOne Friday Night Slot |

Rose of Tralee Attracts One Million+ Viewers |
26 Aug 2010 | The Rose of Tralee on RTÉ One was the most-watched programme on any channel available in Ireland so far this year. A peak of over one million viewers saw London Rose Clare Kambamettu crowned the 52nd Rose of Tralee on Tuesday, August 26th. Hosted for the first time by a native Kerry-man in the shape of Dáithi O’Sé, the two day event was watched by an average of 916,300 people. |

NI Viewing Levels Up 5% in Ofcom Report |
24 Aug 2010 | On 20 August, Ofcom published its seventh annual Communications Market report. In relation to Northern Ireland, the report says whilst average viewing levels have increased there by 5% since last year, NI audiences still watch less TV than the UK average. The report further found that UK channels contributed towards the first ever annual fall in the number of UK television channels. |

'The Tudors' Celebrate at Creative Arts Emmys |
23 Aug 2010 | The final series of ‘The Tudors’ saw wins for two of its four nominations at this year’s Creative Arts Emmys. Joan Bergin and Susan Cave won the prize in the category of Outstanding Costumes for a Series whilst Tom Conroy, Colman Corish and Crispian Sallis took the Outstanding Art Direction for a Single Camera Series prize. The Awards ceremony took place on Saturday, August 21st. |

'Eco Eye' & 'About the House' Begin Production |
23 Aug 2010 | Production got underway late last week on the set of Earth Horizon Productions’ ‘Eco Eye’ and ‘About the House’. Both series will film all over the country for the next few months with the former transmitting on RTÉ next January and the latter coming to our television screens late this year. TV3 Unveils Autumn Schedule & Three Year Plan for Production |

Global Following Grows For TG4 Website |
19 Aug 2010 | The TG4 website has been globally available since 2003 and is to undergo some changes in the coming months. The site’s webmaster, Peadar Ó Flatharta tells us that the site has garnered a dedicated following, growing slowly but surely in popularity. “In 2006 we had about 40,000 – 60,000 streams a month and this figure has since grown to about a quarter of a million” |

RTÉ Keeps 'Hands On', 15th Series Commissioned |
19 Aug 2010 | Mind the Gap Films’ series ‘Hands On’ has been re-commissioned for a winter transmission starting on November 14th. The 10 x 25 minute series will run again as part of RTÉ’s programming for the deaf and hard of hearing community. The new series, the fifteenth of its kind, will start filming in October. |
