Welcome to TV3 Sony HD Studio, Dublin, located at TV3’s headquarters in Ballymount, Dublin. This new purpose-built studio is Ireland’s largest television studio and the one of the most technologically-advanced broadcast facilities in Europe. In a unique naming/technology collaboration TV3 has partnered with Sony the world’s leading supplier of broadcast technology.

At 500 square metres the studio is the largest purpose-built television studio in Ireland and incorporated learnings from the latest studio designs for the BBC and SKY in the UK. The Sony HD equipment is the most advanced available on the market. The studio can accommodate an audience of 250.

Initially the studio will be used to upscale TV3’s flagship programmes including Tonight with Vincent Browne, Ireland AM and Champions’ League and to film TV3’s commissions such as Take Me Out which are currently filmed in theatre locations. The studio is also being used by third-party producers from Ireland, the UK and further afield. A pipeline of customers is being developed which will include a range of Irish and international broadcasters and producers, and the facility has been accredited by RTÉ. The studio will also be used for high-end video production by music producers including SONY Music and advertising agencies.
