Cork Film Festival is Ireland's first and largest film festival - a local, national and international celebration of cinema, running annually for eleven days in November in Cork City and County. Award-winning films from the international film festival circuit, new discoveries, and cinema classics are selected by our experienced curatorial team, to be premiered in an audience of over 20,000 people. The Festival showcases the latest and best international and Irish features, documentaries and shorts, and includes programmes for schools, families, a focus on mental health, and specialist Industry Days. The Festival presents 10 Awards, 3 of which are Oscar-qualifying - The Grand Prix Irish Short Award, The Grand Prix International Short Award and The Grand Prix Documentary Short Award. The Festival celebrates its 65th-anniversary edition in 2020.
