David Burke is General Manager of Universal Pictures International Ireland, the film distribution arm of NBC Universal and is responsible for the theatrical (cinema) releases of Universal, Working Title and Focus Features in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Films he has had responsibility for marketing in Ireland include such diverse titles as IN BRUGES, MAMMA MIA!, BRIDESMAIDS, TED, LES MISÉRABLES. local acquisition THE HARDY BUCKS MOVIE as well as 2013 box office #1 DESPICABLE ME 2. He has also overseen and directed a number of high profile premieres and events including Tom Cruise in Ireland for the premiere of OBLIVION.

Previously, David worked with leading Irish independent Film distributors Clarence Pictures, the distribution arm of Little Bird Ltd. and Eclipse Pictures where he was involved in releasing a wide range of Irish films including ORDINARY DECENT CRIMINAL, BORSTAL BOY, ACCELERATOR, GOLDFISH MEMORY, THE MAGDALENE SISTERS and PAVEE LACKEEN and International titles such as WHAT WOMEN WANT, MONSOON WEDDING, THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST, 21 GRAMS and Y TU MAMA TAMBIEN. David has also worked as a consultant with Halo Communications, a film specific promotions company working with International Distributors such as Twentieth Century Fox and United International Pictures.

David is a Film Studies MA graduate University College Dublin and also holds a Diploma in Advertising and PR. In 2013, he completed an MBA with DIT Business School.
