The Park Studio is to host a workshop entitled ‘Shoot, Edit & Upload’ later this month with producer and director Niamh Guckian.
Guckian, who has worked freelance since 2006 following a decade with RTÉ, will present the week long workshop from July 23, which will be held at The Park Studio in Milltown Park in Ranelagh.
The course is designed for those looking to learn how to create their own packages and will demonstrate how to plan a shoot right through to delivering the finished article. Guckian will also show students how to tell people their story, using motion pictures and audio.
The course will be project-based, and all participants should aim to have a completed project at the end. The project will be outlined in the first session and will involve group.
Guckian is a graduate of Dublin City University and has directed a number of feature-length music documentaries, and worked as a director in factual programming.
She is also a BBC-trained trainer and has designed workshops for the Deutsche Welle Akademie in Berlin, and corporate clients like Etsy.
