The Gréasán Na Meán (GNM) Skillnet Network currently represents 61 micro-enterprises and 218 trainees working in the media industry in the West of Ireland including film, television, print media, radio and digital online. The common purpose of GNM is described in its mission: “Ar scáth a chéile a mhaireann muid” - “through collaboration we flourish” and since its inception, the strategic and long-term objectives of the network have been to achieve critical mass and organic growth in the highly fragmented media industry.

Current market challenges and a rapidly changing digital landscape, has necessitated the need for content providers to be more innovative and much of our training is now specifically focussed on enabling members to avail of cross media opportunities and acquire additional transferable skills to access and compete in new markets and delivery platforms.
