Patron: Damien O’Donnell

Damien O’ Donnell, BAFTA award winning director of East is East is a graduate of Coláiste Dhúlaigh College of Further Education. Damien has also directed films such as Heartlands and Inside I’m Dancing and is a prolific TV and cinema commercial director. These areas are supplemented by the study of film history and related film theory.

Graduate films Stalking Colin Farrell, Elvis and Monsters, Wannabe and Larry the Bastard have all been screened on RTE. Larry the Bastard has also been screened on BBC. Films and screenplays produced by students on the course regularly feature as nominations at the SMEDIA Awards and in 2007, Shane Collier won a SMEDIA Award for Best Screenplay.
