This year?s Fastnet Film Festival?s programme was unveiled at a launch party at The Crane Lane, Cork. The programme promises a thrilling mix of Hollywood stars, screenings, panels, masterclasses, and special guest events in the scenic village of Schull.
Festival Director Tom McCarthy and Creative Advisor Lenny Abrahamson addressed over 200 filmmakers, celebrating the festival’s continued success. The festival will kick off on Wed 21st of May in Schull with a spectacular Opening Party at its new FFF HQ, The Old Convent, and closes with the Award Ceremony on Sunday the 25th.
Festival Highlights Include:
- In Conversation events with Domhnall Gleeson, Barry Keoghan, Nicola Coughlan, and Bill Pullman
- Interview with Ronan Day-Lewis – Featuring clips from Anemone (with Daniel Day-Lewis, Sean Bean, Samantha Morton, Samuel Bottomley)
- Exclusive panel: Kin Uncovered – With Aidan Gillen, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Clare Dunne, and co-creator Peter McKenna
- Music & Film Experience – From a Forest to a Fiddle screening, followed by a live performance by Zöe Conway & John Mc Intyre (May 22, Holy Trinity Church)
- Irish Language Day on Cape Clear – Screening of Fréwaka + Q&A with Aislinn Clarke & Clare Monnelly, walking trail, curated shorts, and gin tasting
- World premiere: In the Opinion of the Censor, directed by Andrew Gallimore
