Triona Campbell is a founder and director of CR Entertainment Ltd. A graduate of Trinity College, Dublin. Triona has also completed courses in “Vertical Strategies - Marketing and distributing independent feature films” (2001) and “Global Negotiations” facilitated by Argovela Films, Greece and, the 2006 EAVE programme for European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs in Luxembourg, Austria and Estonia.
Her break in media came working for legendary US horror film producer Roger Corman’s film studio, Concorde Anois Teo, in Galway. She has also worked as a department head with Canadian companies Mind’s Eye pictures / Vertie Films on The Incredible Story Studio, a 52 part series for the Disney channel. Triona was the first producer outside North America to win the prestigious Tribeca First Look Award for the children’s feature film THE CROOKED MILE (2001).
She is a former board member of “Filmbase”, the centre for Independent Irish Film Makers from 2001-2003 and an editorial board member for “FILM IRELAND” magazine from 2001-2003. As a writer she has written on the film industry for Film Ireland, Film West, IFTN and “Documenter” magazine in Australia. She was also an audiovisual mentor for the Dublin City Enterprise Board (2007-2008) and a nominee for the Image Magazine / DAVY / Sunday Times, Young Irish Business Woman of the Year (2008) and the 2009 nominee for the Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the year (2009). In 2009 she was made an EU Ambassador for Female Entrepreneurs in Europe by the EU.
Triona is also the series producer of Aisling’s Diary for RTE (Best One-Off, Special or TV Movie Category at the KidScreen Awards, NY) and Sofia’s Diary for Sony Pictures and Televsion International as well as a series producer for various factual on-line entertainment series.
