Jam Media, Podge and Rodge and the Huston School of Film and Digital Media have all been announced as winners at the 7th Annual Digital Media Awards.
The Digital Media Awards, held on 13th February in the Crowne Plaza Hotel Dublin, recognises and rewards the most stylish, creative and innovative work within the digital media sector in Ireland. Over 300 digital media professionals attended the event with presenter, Dave Fanning, hosting the show and Minister of State at the Department of Communications, Energy & Natural Resources, Seán Power attended as Guest of Honour.
Winners included Jam Media’s ‘Funky Fables - Bop Till You Drop’ which won the Best Digital Film or Animation. In a new category; Best Viral Marketing Campaign – ‘Podge and Rodge on a PC’ took home the top award while The Connect-World Student Digital Story telling Award went to Stephen Stewart from the Huston School of Film & Digital Media who won with his project ‘Appeal to the People of Africa’.
The website Movies.ie collected the Best Entertainment Content (Mobile or Website), Best Use of Social Media went to SpunOut.ie; Best Independent Mediacast Production (Podcast/Vodcast) was picked up by the Online Marketing Ireland Channel and the Best Digital Advertising/Marketing Campaign went to Eircom Busted.
