Netflix have confirmed the official cast featuring Irish talent such as Anthony Boyle, Danielle Galligan, David Wilmot, and Michael McElhatton for Steven Knight’s new eight-part series that has begun production in the UK.
House of Guinness will explore an epic story inspired by one of Europe's most famous and enduring dynasties, The Guinness Family. Set in 19th-century Dublin and New York, the story will reimagine the period immediately after the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, the man responsible for the extraordinary success of the Guinness brewery, and the far-reaching impact of his will on the fate of his four adult children, Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben, as well as on a group of Dublin characters who work and interact with the phenomenon that is Guinness.
The cast includes Anthony Boyle (Masters of the Air, Manhunt), who will play Arthur Guinness; Louis Partridge (Pistol, Enola Holmes), who will play Edward Guinness; Emily Fairn (The Responder S1& S2, Black Mirror:Demon 79), who will play Anne Plunket (nee Guinness); Fionn O’Shea (Normal People, Dance First), who will play Benjamin Guinness; James Norton (Happy Valley / Bob Marley: One Love), who will play Sean Rafferty; and Niamh McCormack (Everything Now, The Magic Flute), who will play Ellen Cochrane.
While other cast on the show will include Seamus O’Hara (Blue Lights, An Irish Goodbye), who will play Patrick Cochrane; Jack Gleeson (Game of Thrones, In The Land of Saints and Sinners), who will play Byron Hedges; Dervla Kirwan (True Detective: Night Country, Smother), who will play Aunt Agnes Guinness; Michael McElhatton (Game of Thrones, The Long Shadow), who will play John Potter; Danielle Galligan (Shadow and Bone S1 & S2, Obituary), who will play Lady Olivia Hedges; David Wilmot (Station Eleven, Bodkin), who will play Bonnie Champion, and Hilda Fay (The Woman In The Wall, Spilt Milk) will play Sultan.

Kudos is Production Company behind the project with Karen Wilson, Elinor Day, Martin Haines, Tom Shankland and Ivana Lowell executive producing the project for Kudos. Cahal Bannon is the Series Producer, Howard Burch is producing, with Tom Shankland (Block 1, Eps 1-5) and Mounia Akl (Block 2, Eps 6-8) sharing the directing duties.
House of Guinness is expected to release on Netflix in 2025.
