Design For Life (DFL) is an award winning boutique production and post production studio in Dublin City Centre. We offer a range of services from direction and production through to editorial, 2D/3D animation, compositing, visual effects and finishing for commercial, corporate and web clients.
Our core work includes drama, commercials, short documentary, educational film, event and performance documentation, corporate communication, retail marketing, DVD production and delivering video to the web.
We are proud to call many of Ireland's and the worlds leading businesses and organisations both nationally and internationally our clients.
Our unique approach to each project has seen DFL foster long standing relationships with clients such as Irish Aid, SEAI, Tourism Ireland, Heineken, Peter Mark, 7Up, PepsiCO, Taco Bell, AIB, Concern and Topaz, Department of Foreign Affairs, Merck. For which we carry out a number of projects each year from below the line internal communications and training material, to above the line commercials, documentaries and broadcast material.
Constant professional development allows us to stay ahead of current shooting, animation and motion graphic techniques. All of our work is carried out in house. This end to end service allows us crystallise what our client requires from the outset and maintain this vision through to the completed piece.
In 2011 we were commissioned by oscar nominated ‘Brown Bag Films’ to animate their logo, a commission such as this underlines the quality and sophistication of our approach to animation and motion graphics, and points to the strength of our portfolio and the confidence other creative professionals have in our work.
2012 see’s DFL’s work represented at the Belfast Film Festival and the Galway Film Fleadh, the Waterford Film Festival and the Zebra Poetry Film Festival in Berlin. We've also produces animated pieces for the International Bar Association and the ESOF.
So far in 2013 we have produced the "Promise" a TVC and accompanying drama piece for the PDST on the subject of cyber bullying. Two music video's for Empire Circus, True Believer and There is a Light. An animated short for the Department of Foreign Affairs - Hunger, Nutrition, Climate Justice. During summer we completed the post including colour correction VFX and animation duties on a new Irish Short "Suansécal" (dir. Colm Ó Foghlú) which will be in festival through out 2013/14.
We are also delighted to be named the 3d / motion graphics and visual effects vendor for two productions by Esras Films, Stailc 1913 (one hour special on the Lockout - October - TG4) and Building Ireland (6 Part documentary series airing mid 2014 - RTE) both directed by Brian Grey and produced by Peter Kelly.
Recently our short "The Gardener" took the Best Film Award at the Doctor Clip Film Festival 2013, Roma Italy for which we are truly honoured.
