Screentime ShinAwiL Productions Ltd. is one of the largest and most successful independent production companies in Ireland. In the last couple years the company has experienced dramatic growth and diversification.
Established in 1999 by CEO Larry Bass, it specialises in entertainment, factual entertainment and live event programming. In February 2003, ShinAwiL Productions established a joint venture with Screentime Australia to become Screentime ShinAwiL Productions. In 2009 Screentime ShinAwiL Ltd. opened its first UK office in Hillsborough Co. Down
In 2008, Screentime ShinAwiL added an exciting format to Irish television by producing The Apprentice for TV3, which won an Award for Best Entertainment Programme at the Irish Film and Television Awards in February 2009 and 2010. Screentime ShinAwiL are currently in production on Series 4.
In 2009 Screentime ShinAwiL produced Ireland’s first series of Dragons Den for RTE. Dragons Den was a block recorded eight part series which went on air in February 2009. A fourth series is now in pre production for RTE ONE.
2010 saw Screentime ShinAwiL bring a new format to Irish TV screens in the form of a talent search called Fame – the Musical developed for RTE.
Screentime ShinAwiL have recently finished production on an Irish version of the global hit format MasterChef for RTE TWO and a newly developed sports quiz show, Put Em Under Pressure for RTE ONE.
2011/2012 will see Screentime ShinAwiL produce the highly anticipated talent format The Voice of Ireland for RTE. Already a massive hit in Holland and USA, The Voice of Ireland will air in 2012.
Screentime ShinAwiL are also in development on a number of factual observational documentaries led by the Head of Development Alan Gillespie. Factual Programming is a high priority company’s development slate. |
