Over thirty years after his death, that most controversial Irishman, Mairtín ó Cadhain, still awaits his biographer. A daunting and intimidating figure in his own time, Ó Cadhain has cast a long shadow since. This programme traces the life and times of the writer, republican, teacher, Gaelic language activist, and university professor, from his youth in Cnocán Glas in the Connemara Gaeltacht (Gaelic speaking area) to his death in Dublin in 1970.
