As part of its new training initiative, Screen Wexford, in partnership with Screen Skills Ireland, is calling for Wexford-based applicants from office, admin, management, accounting and business backgrounds, or those who have an interest in working in the areas of the production, locations or AD departments, to take part in ‘Passport to Production.’
Passport to Production is a New Entrant Training Programme, which has been developed to equip new entrants with key skills for working in the Film and TV Industry, competencies that reflect the ever-changing dynamics of the work environment for the high-end TV drama space: Health and Safety, problem-solving, adaptive thinking, creative collaboration, emotional intelligence, set etiquette, script breakdown, and self-management in the industry.
This four-day online programme forms the basis of the new entrant’s journey towards working in the industry. It will give a broad overview of the workings of all departments, and help equip new entrants with some of the essential skills required for working on set.
The programme is aimed at new entrants in the Wexford area who possess commitment, motivation, and a passion to work in the industry. Screen Skills will endeavour to provide opportunities for participants of Passport to Production courses to interview for work placements and traineeships on film and TV productions in Ireland.
