IFTN caught up with director Hugh O’Conor and actress Jordanne Jones to find out more about Treasure Entertainments latest comedy ‘Metal Heart’ – In cinemas nationwide on Friday, June 28th.
The hilarious coming of age comedy-drama about family and growing up is directed by prolific Irish actor Hugh O’Conor’s and stars Jordanne Jones, Leah McNamara, Moe Dunford, Seán Doyle and Aaron Heffernan.
‘Metal Heart’ tells the story of fraternal twin sisters Emma and Chantal who are worlds apart. Emma is self-conscious and unsure of which path to take in life - she dreams of starting a band (they have a pie-chart) with her best friend Gary, who secretly has a crush on her. Chantal, meanwhile, is beautiful, confident, and knows exactly where her life is headed. When their parents go away for the summer, their simmering sibling rivalry threatens to boil over, especially when the mysterious boy next door moves back in...
The film is written by Paul Murray and produced by Claire McCaughley and Rebecca O’Flanagan for Treasure Entertainment with backing from Screen Ireland, RTÉ, Head Gear Films and Bank Side Films.
The film is being distributed by the newly founded Break Out Pictures and releases in Irish cinemas on June 28th.
