IADT Announce Campus Open Day in January
04 Jan 2018 : Nathan Griffin
IADT have announced a campus Open Day which will take place on Saturday, January 20th.

It is seen as a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in potentially becoming a student to experience the IADT life first hand. Staff and students will be on hand to help with any queries and the event is seen as a great opportunity to explore the campus and facilities on offer.

What you can expect at the Open Day:

·         Walk about the campus and get a great sense of what they do

·         Listen to talks about the courses + how to apply

·         Find out how to prepare your portfolio

·         Talk to students and lecturers from each of IADT's courses

·         See where the students work by visiting labs + studios

The college recommends this as one of the best ways to experience IADT life and gain a real insight into the student experience. It’s an ideal opportunity to sample the wide range of courses and facilities on offer.

There will be a series of course talks, workshops, demonstrations, exhibitions of student work and laboratory visits. Students will have the opportunity of meeting with lecturers, and current students will be on hand to recount their own personal experiences and offer advice. Portfolio work is very important for a lot of our applicants, so this is a great chance for students to view successful portfolios and to address any questions around portfolio preparation.

The talks will cover course content, choices within degrees, the differences between similar degree courses, work placements and career prospects. Each presentation will be approx 30 min and should be very helpful to students who are selecting higher education courses and planning their future careers.

The Open Day takes place Saturday, January 20th from 10am – 4pm.
