Visit Films have confirmed that the US Rights for Rebecca Daly’s ‘Good Favour’ has been secured by Breaking Glass Pictures.
Following its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival (TIFF) back in September, it has now been officially selected for the Les Arcs European Film Festival in France. The festival is set to take place from the 16th - 23rd December and will compete in the Hauteur category of the competition.
Rebecca Daly’s new haunting drama follows a mysterious teenage boy who is welcomed into a remote Christian community experiencing a crisis of fate. His unexplained arrival lifts hopes as he slowly reveals his motives and what seem to be magical powers. Daly has garnered impressive recognition previously, with ‘Mammal’ and ‘The Other Side of the Sleep’ featuring at Sundance and Cannes, respectively.
‘Good Favour’ was written by Rebecca Daly and Glenn Montgomery, and produced by John Keville, Conor Barry, Benoit Roland, Monica Hellstrom, Signe Byrge Sorensen and Marleen Slot. The film stars Lars Brygmann, Vincent Romeo, Clara Rugaard, Alexandre Willaume, Helena Coppejans and Victoria Mayer.
The film is fiananced by the Irish Film Board with the support of Wallonia le Centre du Cinéma et de L’audiovisuel de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, the Danish Film Institute, and the Netherlands Fund with support by FilmFyn.
