Galway Film Fleadh Irish Shorts & Feature Submissions Deadlines

The annual festival is one of the biggest and most prestigious in Irish film’s yearly calendar of events, with a dedicated Irish Shorts stream nurturing up and coming creative talent.

The 29th Galway Film Fleadh will run from July 11th-16th. Entries for Irish Shorts are still being accepted, with a firm deadline of 5pm, May 12th 2017.

In order to be considered an eligible Irish Short, your film must fulfill one of the following requirements:

  • They are of Irish initiation in a creative sense; that is, conceived, written, produced and/or directed within the island of Ireland
  • They involve established and/or emerging Irish talent in key creative roles, i.e. director, writer, animator or producer

Short films must not exceed 40mins in duration and must be submitted to one category only. Full submission guidelines are available via the link below.

Feature Film submissions are also open, with just over two weeks remaining to submit. No further entries will be accepted beyond Friday, March 31st 2017.
