Irish actress and writer Sharon Horgan is to executive produce a US version of her BAFTA-nominated BBC series ‘Pulling’.
The Co Meath comedian will exec produce alongside co-creator Dennis Kelly after American broadcaster ABC bought the rights to the acclaimed single-camera comedy.
Horgan starred in the original British series which tells the story of three single thirty-something women who live together after one breaks off her engagement the day before her wedding.
The US adaptation will be written by ‘Bad Teachers’ screenwriters Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, reports Deadline.
ABC first began developing a US version in 2008 but did not bring the project to series.
<>Irish actress-writer Horgan, who recently filmed scenes for Steph Green’s ‘Run & Jump’ in Ireland, previously worked with ABC studios on the comedy ‘Bad Mom’, which she created and co-starred in opposite Jenna Elfman.
